By Peter B.

It is a pleasure to announce some recent moves and a new structure in our Central Texas region.

Scott Ward, who joined the club in 2015 as a staff coach and was promoted in 2016 to Regional Coordinator for North Austin has accepted the position as Director of Coaching for Central Texas. Prior to joining LFCIAA Scott was the girl's director for the Austin Texans and prior to that served as the Age Group Director for United Futbol Academy in Atlanta. Scott holds his UEFA B license and USSF B license as well as numerous NSCAA diplomas. Scott is a graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University and has been in the U.S. since 1998.

This move will allow for greater local contact and leadership to occur as well as accelerating the decision process allowing us to better serve and service our customers in this incredible important region for Liverpool FC International Academy Texas. Scott will continue to directly oversee our North Austin region as well as Neil Kline, our North Austin Academy Coordinator will continue to report in to Scott.

Reporting to Scott and continuing in the capacity as Regional Coordinator for South Austin will be Patrick Miller. Patrick has done an outstanding job building our south Austin region and overseeing the development of the region and our complex located at Marbridge Farms in Manchaca. Patrick overseas our largest region which continues to grow and strengthen each year and we are excited about the continued growth under Patrick's leadership. Several coaches report in to Patrick and there will no change in that structure.

Joining Liverpool in the Northwest Austin Region as the Regional Coordinator and reporting to Scott will be Richard Swain. Richard was most recently with the Albion Hurricanes in Houston and prior to that was the one of the Directors for Lonestar SC in Austin. Rich currently holds his UEFA B license and a USSF C license as well as a Cooper Institute trainer's certificate. Rich will begin coaching several teams immediately and will work to grow and expand LFCIA Texas in the important North West Austin Region. Reporting to Rich will be newly hired staff coach Chris Hellums. Chris is currently the head boy's varsity coach at Lanier HS as well as a teacher, teaching AP Economics. Chris received his undergrad degree from Rice University and his post graduate degree from UT.  Chris holds a national D license and is an accredited member of the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches.

As a club we are very excited about the team in place in Central Texas and see extraordinary growth and success happening every day and only getting stronger and better. From facility development to explosive growth in our Academy to launching our collegiate placement program and overall success of all our teams on and off the field, the future for LFCIA Texas is very bright in Central Texas. Under Scotts leadership and supported by Patrick and Rich it is an exciting time at LFCIAT.

Please join me in congratulating Scott on his new role and responsibilities, recognizing Patrick on the amazing success in South Austin and welcoming Rich and Chris to the LFCIAT team and wishing them all success now and in the future.
