Greetings and if I may take a moment to share with you some exciting news about our club. As we continue to grow and build in Texas and throughout the country I am pleased to announce the following moves and promotions in our club.
As previously announced Tony Merola who most recently was our Academy Manager has been promoted to the position of Director of Soccer Development / affiliated clubs. In this role, Tony will be working with all of the clubs outside of Texas to add value, provide guidance and support for all on field activities. In addition, Tony will liaison with LFCIA to support the flow of information and aiding in our goal of making our affiliated clubs as real and authentic as we can in The Liverpool Way.
We are very excited to announce that taking over the key role in guiding, building and running our Academy here in North Texas is Tom Blencoe. Tom was most recently our Program and RASE manager and Regional Coordinator for The Colony. Tom has done an amazing job reinvigorating the elite RASE program of development within our academy and breathed great life into our player programs. In one-year Tom has turned our Colony facility into a powerful engine of growth within our club and we are all excited to see his work begin to continue to build and grow our Academy into the best in the country.
As also previously announced, Dru Wright has been promoted from Deputy Academy Manager NTX to the position of Manager of The LFCIAA College Program. This incredible key role and responsibility could not be in better hands and we are excited about the program potential and for Dru to continue and build upon the good work of Scott Ward, who previously held this position. We are excited to see Dru build our CP into one of the key core pillar program's in our club.
After piloting our NPL program to its best year in our club's history, with three teams representing LFCIA Texas at the National finals, Nick Souter will continue as NPL manager and now also support and assist Tom Blencoe as Deputy Academy Manager. In this role Nick will also work closely with Tom on continuing our success and growth around The Reds Academy School of Excellence (RASE program).
Joe Waggoner, who is managing our GK program will now also work on developing and implementing additional player programs that complement our GK training. Joe will continue to develop and train our world class keepers in the keeper program as well as now developing our player programs. In this role Joe will report to our DOC, Armando Pelaez.
In central Texas to create a closer to our market organization, the position of DOC for central Texas has been eliminated and in its place Patrick Miller will be the Regional Coordinator for South Austin, Rob Hayward will be the Regional Coordinator for Northwest Austin and Scott Ward will be the Regional Coordinator for North Austin. For the time being all three will report directly to myself. We are excited about this structure and feel it will allow a much better organizational responsiveness at this time in our development in this key market.
All of these moves and promotions recognize the outstanding efforts of the folks named and positions our club for improved growth and success in the months and years ahead. I am very excited for our future and please join with me in congratulating all the outstanding folks mentioned in this announcement.
Thank you for your time,
Chief Executive Officer,, President- Liverpool FC International Academy America
